DAY 3: Akureyri

We had a relatively short drive to Akureyri in the morning.  In Akureyri we visited the Botanical Gardens and the Museum of Art. 
In the afternoon we visited the Laufas 1860s turf farmhouse and the Icelandic Folk and Outsider Art Museum.  

Josephine Baker fans note that one of the sculptures featured her (see below). She performed in Reykjavík and left her mark on the Icelandic alternative art scene.
In the evening we celebrated our wedding anniversary at a local restaurant.
